As people of faith, we believe in a world that is centered in our spiritual principle and not separated from the power of love and communal transformation. No matter our faith tradition or creed, whether we identify as spiritual or as avid churchgoers, how we vote in this election will reflect our core values.

How can your faith guide your political commitment to reproductive justice this election season?

  • It is your inalienable right and spiritual inheritance to vote for laws and lawmakers who protect your right to self-determination.

  • Understand that reproductive freedom and birth justice are spiritual matters and those freedoms are not in opposition to our beliefs as faithful voters.

  • Oppose Christian Nationalism. Their messaging is not grounded in faith or spirtuality, but rather an attempt to control our bodily autonomy.

  • Use your belief in community care and love to guide you. Access to food security, jobs, and affordable health care are matters that remind us to care for the least of those among us, to treat our neighbors as we would want to be treated ourselves.

  • Hold onto your right to vote as a sacred right. Protecting the freedom of your body through your political commitments is thus sacred.

This election season, a focus on reflection and our spirituality is critical. Take steps to ensure you are grounded, as a person of faith commiting to fighting for reproductive freedom.

  • Spend time in prayer, meditation, and intention-setting around the election this year.

  • Take time to consider the ways you are impacted by ballot options. Be present with how you feel and be present in your body.

  • On election day, drink plenty of water and consider spending time in community or nature. Take the time to process what is happening in a space where you are loved and supported.
